Sportstalk: With President Obama sitting in the front row the Verizon Center the #7 Georgetown Hoyas didn't disappoint with a 89-77 win over visiting #8 Duke, with a combination of the 200th victory of the career for John Thompson III, a launch for an initiative for Darfur schools, the most hated school in the ACC visiting and the President and and Vice President sitting in the front row the Hoyas were pumped according to Georgetown guard Chris Wright. Duke didn't have a chance in this one which one of the factors do you like that lit the Hoyas' fire?

Winning should be the only factor lighting a fire under Georgetown. They will still have to get by Syracuse who I believe will win the Big East Conference and be in the Final Four. So, I don't care if the Hoyas are wearing Match Light underwear. It's going to take more than the President and Vice President sitting in the audience. As for Duke being the most hated team in the ACC you are correct. But they too have lost their edge. Georgia Tech and Florida State are just two of the teams trying to know any and every team from the state of North Carolina out of the basketball landscape.

Sportstalk: The #2 Kansas Jayhawks are on fire 20-1 and they got a thrilling win over #9 Kansas State 81-79 with nine seconds left in overtime when Sherrin Collins who was suffering back spasms the night before and during the game pulled up with a game winning jumper. Michelle what does that say for the Hawks and the kind of team they have and the season they having?

It says they are having a good season. Call me during the tournament. Many teams have great conference season and meet a swift death in the first round of the tournament. I don't like to drink the Kool-Aid until I know the flavor.

Sportstalk: The Cardinal Women remain unbeaten in the Pac Ten at 19-1 (9-0) with a huge win over the Arizona Wildcats 9-10 (3-6) 83-62.Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer said that Stanford has to look for a better shooting percentage or they won't win referring to Jeanette Pohlen who went 1-10 and Rosalyn Gold-Onwude who missed eight shots and seven from long range in three point attempts but through it all the Cardinal won with their big hitters, Nnemkadi Ogwumike and Kayla Pedersen who both scored 27 in Saturday's contest. Michelle just how big is the three point game for a number one ranked team like the Cardinal to make those shots?

It is not good. If you haven't notice UConn is on a 66 game winning streak. That kind of shooting will get you nothing but second place and it's time for Stanford to move out of the shadows and back into the forefront of the womens collegiate basketball.

Final Thoughts:

1. People are talking about Tim Tebow's performance at the Senior Bowl. Now I know that someone is going to draft him as a QB, but Tebow is not a QB he is a half back or tight end. Before you go calling him the second coming of Ben Rothlisburger you better look at the talent he has surrounding him at Florida. I believe that LeFever out of Central Michigan and Pike out of Cincinatti are the two top QBs in the draft and if Tebow is drafted before them "You'll Be Sorry!!!"

Oh Yeah! If Tim Tebow and his mom want to do a Pro-Life ad during the Super Bowl so what. I don't like politics mixed in with my sports, but it's his neck that is out there. He will have to deal with all the heat and field millions of questions that have nothing to do with is talent when he should be concentrating on the NFL Combine.

2. Kurt Warner has retired. I love Kurt Warner because he beat the odds and remained humble even after winning the Super Bowl and being named MVP. He will be in the HOF on the FIRST ballot. Kurt Warner me and my fantasy football team will miss you.

3.Thank you to Arian Foster of the Houston Texans for speaking to my Race, Sport & Media class this past week. He gave my students a one of kind experience talking to someone who has dealt with the media on the highest level of college and professional football. Thank you so very much for your time and generosity.
