Pittsburgh lowers Steel curtain on Broncos

The Pittsburgh Steelers made the Denver Broncos back up the bus at Mile High Stadium Sunday afternoon as the Steelers took a no prisoners approach, with a 34-17 commanding win over the Broncos.
The Steelers never let up and at one time lead 24-3 at half time. The Steelers started out strong right at the beginning of the game, with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger 12 yard toss to wide out Cedric Wilson to take a 10-0 extension at 15:00 in the second quarter.
The Steelers leading at 10-3 at 2:00 in the second quarter saw the Bus get six as running back Jerome Bettis rushed for three yards as the Steelers took a 14 point lead over the Broncos 17-3.
Roethlisberger hit Hines Ward for a 17 yard score with 15 minutes left in the second quarter to put the Steelers up at their highest point total in the game at the half 24-3.
In the third quarter, Denver quarterback Jake Plummer hit Ashley Lelie for a 30 yard touchdown at 3:43, to make the score Pittsburgh 24 Denver 10.
Denver behind by 17 scored on Mike Anderson's carry at 8:24 a three yard rush making it Steelers 27-17.
The Steelers ended the Broncos misery with Roethlisberger's keeper for four yards with the last scoring of the game to give the Steelers a 34-17 victory over the Broncos, and to
pave the way to Detroit where the Steelers will be taking on the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl XL.
