NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue was stern when he said, "Randy Moss will be fined but will not miss any games of any postseason. We have emphasized that this behavior, particularly during a nationally televised NFC playoff game, will not be tolerated."

The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver was fined $10,000 by the NFL for the incident against the Packers last week. The Vikings' season ended Sunday after a 27-14 loss to Philadelphia.

I'm old school. I don't mind a player celebrating a touchdown - that's what they're supposed to do. Now when some of these guys score a touchdown and they go into all those gyrations, that's what they get paid to do.

As an example, Terrell Owens is one of the best receivers in the game. He pulled out a Sharpie when playing a game in Seattle to autograph a football. That's nuts. That's funny. Mooning the fans - real or fake - is really going too far.

But the fans in Lambeau can also be crazy. I don't agree with what Moss did by mooning the fans - there is no place for that on the field.

You have to give the players a little bit of leeway, you have to let them be spontaneous and express themselves. This was done at Lambeau Field in front of Green Bay Packers fans who have a tradition of mooning players. I would not like to see it repeated. The problem is this is entertainment - football, baseball, Lacrosse, sports is entertainment - and I'm afraid one day one of the players after scoring a touchdown is going to do something crazy.

Taglibue might have to put a stop to some of this craziness. These guys are getting paid good money and if you're supposed to score, that's what you're supposed to do. When somebody hits a home run, you celebrate. Just a regular touchdown? I don't understand that.
