1. Cal Northridge Coach Bobby Braswell's son and two other players were charged for commercial burglary grand theft when Jeffery Robert Braswell 22, who works in a L.A. suburban electronics store of Porter Ranch allowed two Cal Northridge players Deon Transvant, Dallas Rutherford, and friend Phannuel Gbewonyo to check out merchandise without paying. They were caught when the discrepancy was caught at the cash register.

It's been disappointing for coach Braswell whose son, two players and their friend are now facing felony grand theft charges as the Matadors are 5-1 (2-1) in the Big West. Talk a little about what coach Braswell must be feeling right now and what advice you might have for the suspects in this case and what about the balance of those games left on the Matador schedule?

First, I am not a lawyer so I will not give advice to anyone who has been arrested for anything. Not, my job. Get a lawyer. As for Coach Braswell he has to be embarrassed by this. It's not only his players; his son is involved in this mess. It looks as though Coach Braswell is not recruiting nor is he raising young men with character. So, this is how it's going to play out at CSUN Coach Braswell may get to see the season through to the end seeing that he has a winning record thus far. But, not matter how the season ends, he gone. Northridge is a mid-major who cannot afford any more bad publicity than it already has from this fiasco. The also don't need the NCAA all up in their colon (if you know what I mean).

2. The Cal Bears 14-2 (3-0) were just able to get by Washington State 8-6 (0-2) on Thursday night in Pullman 57-50. The credit once again goes to Patrick Christopher who netted 22 points, Jamal Boykin added 12 points for Cal and for the Cougars Taylor Rochestie led with 19 points. The win gives the Bears their eighth straight win. Your choice this week Michelle, is it Christopher, was it head coach Mike Montgomery, or is this team regrouping together at the end of ball games to get things done?

It's first and foremost Mike Montgomery. He is rebuilding what Ben Braun couldn't coach. We all no that Montgomery can coach. Don't get selective memory and forget that he had great success down the road at Stanford. He's just bringing out the best of good players who didn't really know how to best utilize their skills.

3. Anthony Goods had 19 points and Lawrence Hill finished up with 16 points but the Cardinal 11-2 (1-2) fell one point short on Thursday night in their bid to win it over Washington on Thursday night. The Cardinal had a streak going at one time but since the Pac Ten showed up on their recent schedule it looks like a different struggling team.

Do you read the stuff I write? Didn't I tell you that the Pac-10 was loaded? Yes, I did! The Pac-10 is up for grabs and it's going to be a dogfight. I see at least four teams making it to the dance in March. This is not football season where only once team gets to shine. This is basketball season. This where the Pac-10 got it's fame. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Final Thoughts

1. Tony Dungy is retiring as a head coach in the NFL. Mark this day on your calendar. You will rarely see a man who could walk the walk, talk the talk, along with teaching and inspiring professional athletes. Very few men have that gift, and Coach Dungy will be greatly missed. I hope to see him broadcasting, but I doubt it. Thank you to Coach Tony Dungy for who you are as a man, and what you have given all us football fans.

2. Adam "Pacman" Jones is in the news again, but who really cares?

3. Tennessee Women's Basketball Head Coach Pat Summit is five games from winning her 1,000th game. That is quite a feet, so when the time come. Recognize.
