Sportstalk: Now that Pete Carroll has signed on with the Seahawks the big question is how much of an adjustment will it take for him to hit the ground running to the NFL level? Will Carroll be up to getting the pro level guys ready for the next game? And can Carroll be competitive in the NFL yes he was there before but a lots changed? Most important talk show host Jeremy Kahn used to live in L.A. will he still be pulling for the Trojans?
There will be no big adjustment period. He has been there before with the Jets, and Browns. I would just like him to be honest about why he's leaving. USC is about to have a load of NCAA sanctions, and he's leaving so he doesn't have to deal with what happened on his watch.
And as for my brother Jeremy Kahn. He lived in the Valley not LA. I lived in East LA. Laugh little brother.
Sportstalk: The NCAA is currently investigating what exactly did former running back Reggie Bush accept during his playing days in 2004 at USC. The short list, Bush allegedly received, cash, clothes, cars, travel, rent free home for his mother and step father from marketing companies, and current USC running back Joe McKnight was caught driving an SUV registered to a business man. If caught on all violations what will this do for the USC sports program?
C'mon man! Bush took the money and his parents took the money. It's too late to do anything to him cause he's in the NFL. All this will do is stack more sanctions against USC. He Mike Garrett how about some institutional control.
Sportstalk: There's good Cal and bad Cal, this past week the Bears lost a tough overtime match to UCLA 76-75 at Haas. The loss was one of the most memorable embarrassing games for the Bears losing to a team that is expected to finish last in the Pac 10.
Then they went onto face the no non-sense USC Trojans and beat them at home on Saturday night 67-59. Is it frustrating for the team to know what Bears team is going to show up every other night?
Cal Men's Basketball is too up and down and if they don't get their act together they will be playing in the NIT in March.
Final Thoughts
1. Mark McGwire admitted he used steroids. Well Duh! Jose Canseco still looking credible. Who'd a thunk it.
2. The NFL and the Rooney Rule as it relates to the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks. Can a Brotha catch a break??? Don't bring Black candidates in for a bogus interview when they don't have a chance of getting the position.
3.Gilbert Arenas has been suspended by the NBA. It's about time; this guy is a knucklehead.
