1.First basketball question is pretty straightforward -- who do you like in the
NCAA to win it?
I don't like anyone. I don’t even pay attention to basketball until football is over, and I would just like the media to watch the game and quit trying to give some program the national championship without playing the games.
2. The Big Ten schedule is getting underway. Who do you like in the Big Ten?
Refer to question #1 as many times as you feel necessary to exorcise that question from your mind.
3. Can Stanford and Jeremy Kahn over come last year’s disappointment and have both of them got over Childress yet?
Stanford is done for a minute. Did you see Cal take out UCLA? That is question you should be asking. This year Stanford will be lucky if they make to the big dance, and even luckier if they win a game.
4. Finally back to football – it’s a two-pronged query. TCU Freshman kicker Kasey Davis was found in his car dead of a gun shot wound. The suspect ,Jeffrey Lasiter had a rifle in the front seat of his car when he was caught. Michelle what about the shame of losing such a young talent?
This sounds like another Patrick Dennehy and Carlton Dotson situation. It is a shame that Kasey Davis' life has been cut short before it had a chance to begin. That will always be the saddest and most unnecessary reason for the loss of a young life.
Here is the second part of the question. Maurice Clarett. Tell us the rest.
Maurice Clarett is another sad story. He is as much a victim as he is an offender. He is a victim because you know some parasite[s] got in his ear at an early age and told him “all you have to do is play football and the world is yours. You don't have to go to class, you don't have to work hard, you are the cult of personality and people should bow down before you.”
He had no one who was willing to tell him the truth about how the world works. He is an offender because he has an unearned sense of entitlement. How can you be entitled to something you have never worked for?
You are days away from signing a contract to play for NFL Europe and getting a second chance to show your critics that you do have game and you just need more time to show it. Clarett then goes and robs and assaults someone, with a gun, no less. How incredibly stupid are you, Maurice????? You have gone above and beyond the average person's level of stupidity and ventured into your very own stratosphere. While you are there in the land of the ignorant, why don't you call up Lawrence Phillips and ask him to give you some pointers on how to be successful at being a knucklehead?
