The Sacramento Kings losing streak ended at six by holding the New Jersey Nets to 81 points by playing tough team defense. A smiling coach Paul Westphal was very happy with the team's performance. 'That's how good teams do it, by playing defense', commented Westphal.

Indeed, the 86-81 game was close. Who thought the Kings would get a win by scoring only 86 points, and shooting just 43 per cent ?

'The Kings played well for 44 of the 48 minutes tonight', according to Westphal, 'We let down a bit in the second quarter. But we scored when we had to.' The three point shot by Beno Udrih the put the game away late in the fourth quarter stood out as the score of the night.

A win is just what the Kings needed. They play the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday at 3PM. If they continue to play great 'D', who knows what might happen.
