SACRAMENTO-Since moving to the State Capital of California before the 1984-1985 season, a local man has been working for the Sacramento Kings.
Fans of the Sacramento Kings probably had absolutely no idea who Joe Cronin was; however people within the Kings organization and the media both in the Sacramento market and the Bay Area market knew Cronin as the man who collected game programs and team media guides.
Fast forward to tonight’s Kings game versus the Portland Trail Blazers, and during the second timeout in the second quarter, the Kings honored their longtime team historian.
Cronin was given a signed Kings jersey with the Number 1 on the jersey, and was also honored at half court during the ceremony.
Joining Cronin at the game were his two daughters, Ryan Leong , George Devine, Jr., Len Shapiro and myself, as we honored our longtime father and friend on his special night.
