Photo Kings struggle in home loss to Portland

The Portland Trail Blazers lead 31-24 after the first quarter and never looked back in defeating the Sacramento Kings 110-94. The Kings only lead once in the game and that was in the first quarter as Portland lead by as many as 26 points in defeating the Kings for their 13Th victory in their last 16 games since the all-star break. Portland was playing the 2ND game of a back-top-back after defeating the Warriors in Oakland last night.

The Kings turned the ball over 20 times, just one shy of their season high. Tyreke Evans recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds to record his ninth double-double of the season. He also tallied four assists. The 10 rebounds we one shy of his career high. Carl Landry scored a team high 18 points. He has scored in double figures in each of the last 13 games, including all 12 with Sacramento.

The Blazers gave head coach Nate McMillan his 400Th career victory. Portland continues to stay hot on the road where they have scored over 100 points in each of their last 12 road contests.

Brandon Roy tallied 20 of his game high 28 points in the first half. Roy reached the 20 - point plateau for the 27Th time this season.

The Kings will host Minnesota on Sunday night.
