Kings run out of gas in Portland

The Portland Trail Blazers bounced back from a division loss on Sunday night at Denver to defeat the visiting Sacramento Kings 88-81 at the Rose Garden. With the victory the Blazers have now defeated the Kings in five straight games. The Blazers have averaged 103.0 points while giving up 87.8 to the Kings in winning the series' past four meetings, including a 95-88 victory at the Rose Garden on Dec. 15 behind 25 points apiece from Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Brandon Roy finished with 19 points and 89 rebounds. Andre Miller and Nick Batum each had 14 while Marcus Camby had 8 rebounds and five blocks, including 4 in the 4Th quarter.
Tyreke Evans had a team high 18 points to go with 6 rebounds and 6 assists while newly acquired forward Carl Landry had 17 points and 8 assist. Evans failed to reach the 20 point plateau for the first time in his last 7 games.
The Kings will open a five game home-stand tomorrow night against the Toronto Raptors....
