Photo Kings can’t stop Mavericks winning streak

Dirk Nowitzki had 15 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, leading Dallas to a 10Th straight win, 108-100, over Sacramento. Nowitzki connected on 12-of-26 shots and secured 12 rebounds, while rookie Rodrigue Beaubois scored a career-high 22 points in his second consecutive strong game with increased minutes due to Jason Terry's absence following facial surgery Friday.

Jason Kidd added 17 points and 12 assists, helping Dallas gain its longest winning streak in nearly two years. The Mavericks last time they won 10 in a row during a franchise-best 17-game run from January 27-March 11, 2007.

Carl Landry had 21 points, while Beno Udrih and Tyreke Evans scored 20 each for Sacramento, which had won three of four coming in. Andres Nocioni added 15 points in his return from a two-game suspension.

Kings coach Paul Westphal was quoted after the game saying " I thought out of the 48 minutes we probably had 43-44 good enough minutes to think we could win that game. but those lapses, and the turnovers (17), we couldn't overcome.”

The loss was the 13Th straight for the Kings at Dallas. Sacramento returns to Sacramento tonight and will face Oklahoma City on Sunday night at Arco Arena.
