Eric Gordon scored a season-high 30 points, and the Clippers finally gave new head coach Kim Hughes a victory, 99-89 over the Sacramento Kings. Chris Kaman had 22 points and 16 rebounds for the Clippers, who snapped a six- game skid and won for just the second time in the last 12 contests.

Rasual Butler had 14 points, while Steve Blake contributed 11 points and 12 assists in just his second game in a Clipper uniform. "I thought we played aggressive. Eric Gordon led us down the stretch," Hughes said. "I was pleased with our overall effort. I was not pleased with the 24 turnovers. I'm happy for the guys. They've been working hard."

Tyreke Evans totaled 21 points for the Kings, who have lost three straight and 21 of their last 25 games. Omri Casspi added 15 points and newcomer Carl Landry had 10 in defeat. "We stopped guarding people in the second quarter and it got away from us," Kings coach Paul Westphal said. "We didn't have an answer for Gordon, Kaman and Butler all night. It's discouraging for us to be as flat as we were. Give the Clippers credit for shooting the ball well."

Sacramento forced 24 turnovers, leading to 30 points, but the Kings were out-rebounded 45-32 and couldn't contain the Clippers on the perimeter. Los Angeles finished 11-of-22 from beyond the arc, with Butler and Gordon each hitting four three-point shots.
