Kings losing streak hits five with loss to Phoenix

Grant Hill his a three pointer that gave the Suns a 7-6 lead and Phoenix never trailed after that. The Suns lead by as many as 29 points before Sacramento went on a 14-4 run to trim the Suns lead down to 15 and eventually 10 but Phoenix maintained a double digit advantage the rest of the way.
Sacramento has now dropped 17 of the last 19 games, including the last five. The Kings did attempt a season-high 42 free throws. Donte Greene was one of the only bright spots for the Kings. Greene finished with a career high 31 points, surpassing his previous career high of 24. Kevin Martin recorded only five points. In each of the previous four games he scored in double-figures, including 30 or more points twice.
Phoenix has won all three contests against the Kings this season. The fourth and final regular season meeting is on February 21 in Phoenix. The Suns have won 15 of the last 17 games against the Kings, including the last three.
Steve Nash narrowly missed a triple-double with 23 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Nash has three career triple-doubles, the last on was on April 19th 2006 at Portland. Nash recorde3d his 32nd double-double of the season. Amare Stoudamire recorded a team high 30 points to go with 9 rebounds and a steal in 38 minutes of action. It was Stoudamire's forth game this season he has reached 30 points.
