Home is sweet home for the Sacramento Kings. After returning home after a season long six game losing streak in which they lost all six games the Kings built an early lead and held on to defeat the visiting Golden State Warriors 99-96. With the win the Kings improved to 13-9 on the season at home. The Kings grabbed a Sacramento-area record 68 rebounds, passing the old mark of 67 against Washington on February 14, 1987.

Beno Urih led the Kings with 24 points. It was the sixth time this season Urih tallied 20 or more points. Spencer Hawes recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and a game high and season high 13 rebounds. Tyreke Evans contributed with 23 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a much publicized match up with fellow rookie Stephen Curry.

Curry finished with a game high 27 points. Curry has scored 20 or more points in four of the last five games, including the last three. Curry has also recorded nine rebounds to go with six assists and three steals in 45 minutes.

Monta Ellis missed the game for the Warriors with a sprained ankle. The Kings will be off until Friday night when they play at Utah. The Warriors will play a back-to-back tomorrow night against New Orleans in Oakland.
