Photo Howard too much for the Kings to handle

Orlando Magic all star Dwight Howard took over the game in the second half as the -Magic defeated the Kings 109-88. Howard Tallied a game-high and season high 30 points and a game high 16 rebounds, to go with 5 assists, three steals and three blocks in 41 minutes. With the Win the Magic snapped a three game losing streak on the road.

Sacramento native Matt Barnes finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Barnes had some nice things to say about his home-town team after the game. “They can play. They have a really good young team. Tyreke Evans is going to be a superstar. Spencer, Jason, Casspi, and Kevin and Francisco coming back they have a solid court. If they can all stay healthy, I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a run for the 8th playoff spot.”

The Kings were lead by rookie Tyreke Evans who lead the team with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 38 minutes.

Orlando outscored Sacramento 33-10 in the 4th quarter and out shot the Kings 66% to 18% in the final period and the Kings shot just 4-22 from the field in the 4th.

Sacramento now plays six straight on the road. The next home game for the Kings will be January 26th vs. Golden State.
