In the case of Randy Johnson, you can go home, as the left-hander signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco Giants.

Johnson will enter the 2009 season needing just five wins to join the elusive 300-win plateau, as the alumnus of Livermore High School joins the Orange and Black.

With the addition of Johnson, the Giants will now have three winners of the Cy Young Award on its pitching staff.

Johnson won the award in four consecutive years from 1999-2002, Tim Lincecum won the award just last season and Barry Zito won the award in 2002, while pitching for the Oakland A’s.

The Giants are the first team since the 2002 Atlanta Braves to boast three Cy Young Award winners on the same staff.

During the 2002 season, recently retired Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz all pitched for the Braves.
