SAN FRANCISCO--The Giants lost their finale at AT&T Park on Sunday afternoon in the last regular season game for 2006. The Dodgers who'll represent the National League Wild Card winners, as the Giants will take all the spoils and marbles will head home, after losing the Dodgers by the score of 4-3.

The Dodgers scored first in the top of the 2nd, with James Loney had his 4th homer of the season, and Los Angeles had a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of that inning, the Giants took the lead 2-1, with Pedro Feliz’s two run double.

The Giants picked up another run in the bottom of the fifth when Jason Ellison reached on an infield single to knock in Kevin Frandsen the Giants took a two run lead 3-1.

The Dodgers came back in the top of the sixth when Ramon Martinez hit a double to deep right to score Olmedo Saenz and Matt Kemp to tie it up 3-3.

The tie only lasted until the top of the seventh, when Julio Lugo's RBI single to Jason Repko, was the go ahead run for L.A. in the 4-3 win.

Chad Billingsley (W, 7-4 ERA 3.80) pitched an inning plus, one hit.

Brad Hennessey (W, 5-6 ERA 4.26) pitched an inning plus, for one hit, one run, one walk, one strike out.

Kenny G and JC's Giant footnotes: The Giants make up game from the Sunday September 17th rain out will not be made up with the St Louis Cardinals. St Louis who clinched the National League Central have it bagged by a 1.5 games.

Had the Cards been in a tie for the Central Division title, the Giants would have to travel to St.Louis and see if the house of Cards could get St.Louis in the playoffs or not. Never mind it won't be needed now the Cards are in the post season.

Giants manager Felipe Alou will not return to San Francisco for the 2007 season and was melancholia about it after Sunday's loss to L.A. Alou spent the last three seasons as the Giants manager talked after his last hurrah in a Giants uniform "But if I don't take come back as manager, I will always come back feeling grateful and to take a trip up north to the wine country." said Alou.

Barry Bonds may not be back as well for 2007 because of the steroid/BALCO baggage which is something although the fans really don't care about, but the Giants brass does.

Giants’ owner Peter McGowan and team President Larry Baer are very concerned about the team image and also McGowan has a good working relationship with MLB and Commissioner Bud Selig. Selig has made it no secret that he doesn't want to great Bonds with any celebration if he was to break Henry Aaron's all time home run record.

McGowan also does not want the price tag that Bonds is attached to and the embarrassment that has surrounded the club during the past two years with BALCO is something McGowan wants to relinquish. If Bonds comes back than McGowan would have to look the other way to a big distracting story something that many owners do not want to deal with.

Bonds may not be signed by any club come spring training or he might be inked with an American League club come spring training as a designated hitter, this is a plot that stays thick as long as Babo is involved.
