What a great way for the San Francisco Giants to end a tumultuous season than with two straight wins over your longtime rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tim Lincecum struck out a career-high tying 13 strikeouts, as the Giants defeated the Dodgers 3-1 before a crowd of 39,167 on Fan Appreciation Day at AT&T Park.

Lincecum struck out the first nine players he retired, that is the first since Sid Fernandez accomplished the trick on July 30, 1986, while pitching for the New York Mets against the Chicago Cubs.

Pablo Sandoval tied up the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, as he singled in Emmanuel Burris, following the Sandoval single, Nate Schierholtz singled to score Dave Roberts to score the eventual game-winning run.

Kevin Frandsen, who missed the entire season with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon made his season debut, and grounded out as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth inning.
