Barry Bonds had his streak of four consecutive games with a home run snapped at Coors Field in Denver, but drew a key walk during San Francisco's five-run eighth inning rally to defeat Colorado 7-6.

The Giants improved to 7-1 since Bonds returned to the starting lineup after leaving the disabled list last week. With the win, San Francisco (72-81) still trails first-place San Diego in the NL West race. The Padres cut their magic number to five by defeating Arizona 5-3.

With two men on in the eighth, losing pitcher Mike DeJean (5-4) walked Bonds on four pitches. Moises Alou followed with a two-run double, cutting the Giants' deficit to 6-4. Ray Durham, hitless in his last 23 at-bats, delivered a two-run single to tie the game at 6-6.

After Durham moved to second on a wild pitch, pinch-hitter J.T. Snow singled in the go-ahead run to cap the rally. Snow had been out of the lineup with a hamstring pull since Sept. 12.

Bonds finished with two singles, a walk and an RBI.

Jeremy Accardo (1-4) pitched the seventh inning and earned his first win of the season. Tyler Walker shut down the Rockies with one out in the ninth to earn his 23rd save. Armando Benitez, who has registered 14 saves since returning to the SF bullpen, was unavailable, complaining of tightness in his leg following the flight from Washington, D.C. to Denver.

Colorado built a 6-0 lead behind home runs by Matt Holliday and Danny Ardoin off Giants starter Matt Kinney. Meanwhile, Rockies' starter Jeff Francis allowed two runs and six hits with three strikeouts in his six innings of work. However, the Rockies' bullpen blew its 25th save opportunity of the season.

Todd Helton three singles and two RBIs for Cololrado, extending his hitting streak to 10 games.

The game drew 35,265, nearly double what the Rockies averaged in their four-game series earlier this week against San Diego.
