It may not be officially over, but it seems like the San Francisco Giants run to the National League Wild Card is about to run out.

Andre Ethier hit two-run home run, and Ronnie Belliard added a two-run single both of Tim Lincecum and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Giants 6-2 at Dodger Stadium.

With the loss, coupled with the Colorado Rockies victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field, the Rockies now lead the Giants by 4.5 games.

This is a great season for the Dodgers, who are trying to win back-to-back division titles for the first time since 1977 and 1978, and are 30 games over .500 for the first time since October 2, 1985, when they won the National League West, before being defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals in six games in the National League Championship Series.

Lincecum went just four-plus innings, allowing five runs on four hits, walking four and striking out three and is now 0-4 in his last four starts on the road.

The four innings worked by Lincecum were lowest since he went five innings on opening day against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 7.
