When Manny Ramirez came to the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this summer, he probably did not understand the magnitude of the rivalry between the Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants.

Ramirez, who came over from the Boston Red Sox, who have a pretty big rivalry with the New York Yankees, is already cementing his name into this rivalry as well.

Since coming over to the National League, Ramirez has been destroying pitching in his new league and to no one’s surprise; he is doing to the Giants.

Ramirez hit two home runs, as the Dodgers defeated the Giants 10-7 at Dodger Stadium.

The Giants got on the board first, as Travis Ishikawa walked with the bases loaded to score Randy Winn from third base.

Ishikawa was in on the scoring of the Giants second run of the evening, as he reached on a fielding error by Blake DeWitt to score Nate Schierholtz.

Ramirez then got on the Dodgers all even, as he hit a three-run home run off of Brad Hennessey in the bottom of the third inning.

The game would not be tied for long, as Matt Kemp then hit a two-run home run to give the Dodgers a two-run lead.

Eugenio Velez walked with the bases loaded to score Bengie Molina from third base.

Once again, Ishikawa was in on a run-scoring play, as he scored on a wild pitch thrown by Joe Beimel to get the Giants within a run of tying the game.

Scott McClain then tied up the game, as he grounded out to Casey Blake at third base to score Aaron Rowand from third base.

That would be the score when the Dodgers came to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning

The Dodgers would score three runs in that inning, as Angel Berroa put the Dodgers into the lead for good, as he walked to score James Loney from third base.

Immediately following the Berroa walk, Delwyn Young walked for the Dodgers second run of the inning to score Matt Kemp from third base.

Ramirez added another home run in the bottom of the eighth inning, as he hit two-run shot off of Gino Espinelli.

Hennessey was roughed up, as he went three innings, giving up five runs on five hits, while walking two and striking out two.

His opponent on the mound, Hiroki Kuroda did not fare much better, as he went just four innings, giving up three runs on eight hits, while walking one and striking out five.
