SAN FRANCISCO-After winning five in a row, the San Francisco Giants have resorted back to how their season has gone thus far.
Instead of having a shot rebounding after a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Monday night, the Rockies made it two straight with a 7-2 victory over the Giants before 32,695 at AT&T Park.
The Giants got on the board in the bottom of the second inning, as Randy Winn doubled to right field to score Rich Aurilia, who doubled to lead off the inning.
Garrett Atkins put the Rockies in front for good, as he singled to score Clint Barmes and Matt Holliday.
The Rockies extended the lead up to 4-1 also in the third inning, as Chris Iannetta singled in Brad Hawpe and Atkins.
Matt Palmer reached on a error, when Atkins was unable to hold onto a throw from Barmes to score Aurilia form third base.
Things did not get any better for the Giants in the top of the fifth inning, as the Rockies struck for more run, when Troy Tulowitzki singled in Hawpe.
It got really bad for the Giants in the top of the seventh inning, as the Rockies scored two more runs, as Ian Stewart singled to Hawpe.
Tulowitzki then singled in Stewart to make the score 7-2 in favor of the visitors from Colorado.
Palmer went just four innings, giving up five runs on four hits, while walking six and striking out just one on his way to his second loss since joining the Giants on August 16.
Jorge De La Rosa went six innings for the Rockies, giving up two runs on two hits, while walking three and striking out three.
