SAN FRANCISCO--The Giants who held a 2-0 lead on the Colorado Rockies couldn't hold it for long as the Rockies came back and tied up the ball game at two a piece in the top of the second when former Giant catcher Yorvit Torrealba haunted his old mates with his sixth inning home run off starter Matt Cain which later led to a 4-2 defeat of the Giants snapping their five game win streak.

Troy Tulowitzki tripled in an run in the top of the fourth giving the Rockies the lead for the first time in the game 3-2 and then in the top of the eighth Jeff Baker hit a sac fly to left for an RBI scoring Ian Stewart giving the Rocks a two run 4-2 victory.

Pitching lines: Colorado starter Jeff Francis (W, 4-8) ERA 5.36 went seven innings plus, two runs, four walks, and two strike outs. For San Francisco starter Matt Cain (L, 8-10) ERA 3.55 six innings, six hits, three runs, four walks, four strikeouts, and one homer.

Giant notes: Pablo Sandoval the Giants rookie is a superstitious type. He digs in at the plate drawing a cross in the dirt and saying, "I do the cross to say 'God give me another opportunity to get a base hit' adding, "I hit my spikes once for my grandmother and once for my grandfather, once for my sister." All three have died and his sister died at one year old in a car crash. Sandoval collected two hits on Sunday and one on Monday. "I'm superstitious" said the Giant first baseman.

Talk about some sweet revenge for Bruce Bochy when he and the Giants swept the Padres on Sunday. Bochy managed the Pads for 12 years. Bochy said anything regarding savoring a win over his old team was over and done with but according to Dave Roberts after Bochy got swept by the Pads last season and came back to sweep the Padres this season it felt "absolutely" good to win, "That's his home, and he spent a huge part of his career in San Diego with that organization, to come back his first year and get embarrassed in the season series, he had to take that with him this off season. I'm sure there's some vindication. He's too much of a pro to admit it." said Roberts.

Bochy said he would not go with a six-man rotation once the team takes off for a road trip this weekend. Jonathan Sanchez who threw off the mound over the weekend is coming off the disabled list and might figure into the rotation. Sanchez and the rest of the pitchers will work to show they can pitch on four days rest rather than six even after the call ups.

Bengie Molina last Sunday became the second Giant this season to reach five RBIs in a game when he singled, doubled, and homered. Molina ties Rich Aurilia for most RBIs in a game.

Tuesday's starters: The Rockies will start Jorge Del la Rosa the former Royal (6-7) ERA 5.86 and he'll be matched up against the Giants Matt Palmer (0-1) 8.64 ERA. First pitch is 7:15PM PDT at AT&T Park.
