The Giants suffered another setback on their East Coast road trip, as they were trounced yet again by the Philadelphia Phillies, this time by an 8-2 count at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday.

After gliding through the first two innings, Matt Cain gave up a run in the third before the Phillies ripped him for four more in the fourth, the big hit coming when shortstop Jimmy Rollins, an Oakland native, hit a three-run homer that gave his team a 5-1 lead.

Cain lasted two more innings, but the Giants were not able to recover from that onslaught, which dropped Cain to a 9-10 record and allowed the Phillies to take the second straight game in this three-game series.

The game actually was going in the Giants' favor early on. Andres Torres led off the game with a solo home run, and they held the lead until the third inning. Rollins led off the inning with a triple, and two batters later, Chase Utley's grounder to second brought him in to tie the game.

In the fourth, catcher Carlos Ruiz singled home Jayson Werth before Rollins tagged Cain for his homer two batters later.
