LOS ANGELES--The San Francisco Giants who were sitting in downtown Los Angeles at lunch time were rocked in their hotel building at the Omni which was swaying hours before their ball game versus the Dodgers.

The quake registered at 5.4 shook downtown buildings and had many citizens evacuating many office buildings. The shaking was so strong that citizens in San Diego felt the shaking which registered at 3.8 there.

Members of the Giants confirmed those feelings, "I never want to be in another one. I was talking to my wife on the phone and she got scared. She said 'go outside'! I said 'I am outside!” said Emmanuel Burriss.

Manager Bruce Bochy felt the 5.4 shake saying "I thought it was a bomb at first. After a couple of seconds I realized it was an earthquake. There was a pretty good jolt to start it off."

Fans at Dodgers Stadium felt some aftershocks, there were seven aftershocks in all registered after the 5.4 earthquake at 11:42AM. Everybody was in one piece in the Giants clubhouse in Dodger Stadium or at least the players didn't show they were going to pieces before the game. The last time the Giants were in Los Angeles and an earthquake hit it was September of 1987 just after the team clinched the N.L.West in San Diego on the same road trip.
