SAN FRANCISCO--Giants manager Bruce Bochy got irritated when someone criticized Madison Bumgarner's pitching when they lost to Minnesota on Tuesday June 21st after Bumgarner gave up eight runs in the top of the first. Pitcher's are going to have off nights and Bumgarner claimed he wasn't watching the target 100% of the time in that game and he was taking his eye off the target and that made the difference.

He's a good pitcher and Bochy said it when Bumgarner got nailed in the final result of 9-2 laugher that night against Minnesota. Bumgarner is a good pitcher and he's not going anywhere and he's 21 years old. He's got a great future with the Giants and he threw good last game with a 3-1 win over Cleveland June 26th going seven innings, six hits, one run, one walk and 11 strike outs.

Ryan Vogelsong: Vogelsong has come in and filled in and Bochy mentioned he's an All-Star caliber pitcher. Lincecum is 5-1 ERA 1.86. He belongs on the All-Star team and if he gets to pitch against the Cubs it'll be interesting to see him do it but he's got the lowest ERA among National League starting pitchers and that's pretty hard to beat.

Vogelsong has come in and done everything right and it's funny I was looking at some old baseball cards and going back to the early 2000s when he was with the Giants and he makes a long journey back that includes a couple Major League teams including Japan and he gained confidence which is part of it and feeling the ability to do well.

Vogelsong came back this year in spring training and looked good and they signed him to Fresno and he does a nice job there and he comes back to the National League and you know the results there he's been fantastic.

Tim Lincecum: He pitched fantastic against the Twins June 23rd in his last outing for a 2-1 win going seven innings, three hits, two walks, 12 strikeouts. He is dominating and he claims he needs to concentrate more on the pitching than the mechanics and it's the little things that make the difference.

Lincecum is watching the target 100% of it is Lincecum spending too time worrying about mechanics as opposed to concentrating on just throwing the ball and throw it where you want it to go. Lincecum on those things claimed that was the difference. Certainly his record indicates he's an All-Star pitcher he certainly can account for himself he's an All-Star pitcher.

He should be representing the Giants for the National League All-Star game.

Matt Cain: He may not be the key pitcher on the staff but there is no question that he's a dominating pitcher and when he goes out and last game proved it he certainly pitched a beautiful game.

Former Giant manager Dusty Baker now with the Reds knows the game and he said in order to be a good Major League pitcher you need at least three years of experience. That's what Cain needed before he blossomed into being that top notched pitcher. He certainly enjoys the job and he was good and he knows how to pitch today and with all his ability that's what makes him the top pitcher he is.

Aubrey Huff: He's a gamer and he certainly was a spark last year and was a tremendous addition to the team. He's a good clubhouse man. He does things extremely well he hasn't quite hit that notch yet and the Giants are counting on him particularly in the second half now that the first half is only just a little more than two weeks remaining.

Huff will come through for the Giants in future games and with some game winning hits he's going to be one of the men the Giants are going to count on producing those runs.

Bryan Stow: TMZ has a video showing Bryan Stow in a altercation with Dodger fan Juan Banda at one point Banda was pointing at Stow and Stow had his hands up. Stow told Banda, "I'd rather eat my own feces than eat a Dodgers dog" Stow's family is upset over the video saying that TMZ is inferring that Stow deserved the beating after being verbal with Dodgers fans.

A Stow family rep said the following regarding the TMZ video posting, "there has been enough hurt and pain for Bryan, his family, his friends, and especially his two young children."

Also the rep said that it was just bantering and joshing and that there was no harm in what Stow was saying to other Dodgers fans, "Banter is expected at any sporting event. Violence should not be. Bryan is not a violent person. That shows as he remains seated, hands up as someone is in his face yelling. Over what? Comments about a hot dog?" said the family rep.
