SAN FRANCISCO-Clint Barmes wanted to send the Colorado Rockies home with a victory, and the second baseman did just that.

Barmes hit a double down the left field line to score Miguel Olivo in the top of the 11th inning off of Santiago Casilla, as the Colorado Rockies defeated the San Francisco Giants 2-1 before 31,198 at AT&T Park.

Andres Torres hit a solo home run onto the arcade in right field, as the Giants took a 1-0 lead, it was the third home run of the season for Torres.

The Rockies finally tied up the game in the top of the seventh inning, as Olivo scored just before Melvin Mora was tagged out at third base on a throw from Aaron Rowand on a ball hit by Barmes.

Olivo crossed the plate mere seconds before Mora was tagged out at third base by Pablo Sandoval, and home plate umpire Ed Rapuano immediately called Olivo safe.

Barry Zito went seven innings, allowing just one run, while scattering four hits, walking three and striking out eight.

On the other side of things, Rockies starter Jason Hammel went 6.2 innings, giving up one run on seven hits, not allowing a walk and striking out seven.

The Rockies threatened in the top of the 10th inning against closer Brian Wilson, as they put runners on second and third and one out; however Pablo Sandoval threw out Barmes at the plate for the second out of the inning.

Barmes led off the inning with a single off of Wilson and then former A’s star Jason Giambi singled Barmes to second base.

Both Barmes advanced an additional 90 feet, as Carlos Gonzalez grounded out to Sandoval at third base for the first out of the inning.

Wilson went two innings, giving up four hits and striking out two.
