SAN FRANCISCO--Beaten and assaulted Giants fan and Santa Cruz resident Bryan Stowe is back in San Francisco but still has a long climb from the beating he took on the Giants opening night March 31st at Dodger Stadium from a couple of Dodgers fans who were rumored to have left the country and maybe went south of the border. The two suspects are at large with a $150,000 bounty for their capture and conviction.

Stowe 42 will be staying at San Francisco General Hospital which is known to be the only hospital in the City that specializes in head and brain injuries like the ones he is suffering from.

Stowe has been intensive care since the beating and doctors have put Stowe in a medically induced coma to avoid Stowe from having seizures. Stowe was under the care of Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center since March 31st.

Stowe arrived in critical condition he can open his eyes, make small movements with his arms, and legs but his recovery is expected to take a year or more. "He's not ready for a long term facility, he is critically ill, he will be in intensive care." said LA County USCM spokeswoman Rachael Kagan.

Stowe on the night of the beating had a bad feeling about his safety and texted family members that he feared for his safety while leaving Dodgers Stadium and didn't know if he would make it safely out of the ball park. Dodgers Stadium particularly the bleacher section had been noted for a lot of gang members who sit out in the left and right field pavilions.

Some of the those fans have made a pact that anyone wearing any other team colors other than the Dodgers are going to be targeted for taunts, threats and in some cases beatings. If the suspects have left the country it's going to be that much harder to catch them.

Bumgarner battling to get first win: Giant starter Madison Bumgarner is working hard and to some extent has pitched well enough to win ball games but is still stuck at 0-6. Is it mechanics or location? You have to wonder about the possibilities when Barry Zito comes off the DL maybe Zito replaces Bumgarner and not Ryan Voglesong.

Voglesong has pitched extremely well at 3-0 with a 2.36 ERA and he's a big part of the rotation and the big question is what do you do with Bumgarner? Do you put him back in Fresno so he can pitch and work? Do you put him in the bullpen or maybe not because the Giants have a pretty good bullpen.

The relief pitching for the Giants has been great and of course Javier Lopez has been outstanding at 1-0 ERA 0.59. That was a steal for San Francisco when they picked him up from Pittsburgh. Lopez has been great and he got a shutout on May 8th against Colorado in relief and he's done everything the Giants asked for this season and last season and frankly maybe without him the Giants don't win the series. Lopez has really contributed to the team in a big way.

Pitching for the Giants makes the difference: Pitching for San Francisco has been the key. You got to remember obviously the offense has not been that great but with a lot of teams including the Giants and this year in Major League Baseball you look around the circuit both American and National Leagues there is not that much hitting happening.

The Giants really need a lead off hitter to back up Andres Torres and the Panda Pablo Sandoval it is very important and it's critical to have him back when he comes back from his injury you look at the rest of the line up the key guys are Freddy Sanchez, Pat Burrell, Cody Ross, Nate Schierholtz who is coming around and you'd like to see him play a little bit more, Aubrey Huff is due and he's having some problems, and catcher Buster Posey those are the hitters that are needed to drive in runs for the Giants.
