Manny Ramirez notched his name near the top of hated Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers with New York/San Francisco Giants fans with just one swing of the bat.

Ramirez slammed a two-run pinch hit home run off of Sergio Romo in the bottom of the eighth inning, as the Dodgers came from behind to defeat the Giants 2-1 at Dodger Stadium.

Entering the bottom of the eighth inning, the Dodgers were just five outs of being shutout for the second consecutive day, but Barry Zito walked pinch hitter Garret Anderson and then was lifted by Bruce Bochy in favor of Romo.

Ramirez hit a 1-2 pitch off of Romo into the left bleachers, and gave the Dodgers the series over their most hated rivals.

Juan Uribe gave the Giants a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, as he hit a solo home run off of Clayton Kershaw into the same left field bleachers that Ramirez would hit his heroic pinch hit home run just an inning and a half later.

Zito went 7.1 innings, allowing just one run on four hits, walking one and striking out three; however he did not fare in the decision.
