What a great way for the Stanford Cardinal to go into the Pac-10 season than with a big win over a quality opponent.
Brook Lopez scored 19 points and 12 rebounds, as the Cardinal defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs 55-48 in the last game before the Cardinal begin Pac-10 play against the fifth-ranked UCLA Bruins on Thursday night at Maples.
This was the first start of the season for Lopez, as he sat out the first 10 games due to academic ineligibility.
Anthony Goods scored 16 points, as the Cardinal won their seventh straight.
The seven straight wins for the Cardinal is longest streak since the Cardinal started 26-0 during the 2003-2004 season.
Kevin Bell scored 16, while Eddie Miller added 10 for the Bulldogs, who made their first trip to Stanford since 1954.
