Stanford turnsover the game to Northwestern

Vanston, Ill – The Stanford Men’s basketball team fell to Northwestern today 70-62. Stanford falls to .500 on the season (5-5), and Northwestern moves to (9-1). The game was lost for the Cardinal against Northwestern’s strong defense.
Northwestern played aggressive defense most of the game, and forced Stanford into18 turnovers and 28 fouls through the game. Up to that point, Stanford had averaged only 11.3 turnovers. Turnovers alone caused the 8 point difference in scoring, Northwestern scored 18 and Stanford scored 10.
Landry Fields was the top scorer for the Cardinal with 24, followed by Jeremy Green with 14, and Drew Shiller of 12. They delivered only 42% FG shooting, and 36% from the three point range. Landry Fields also lead rebounding with 9, and assists with 5.
Stanford plays again in Texas on the 22nd against Texas Tech.
