What a great way for Brook Lopez to return to the court after sitting out the first quarter of the season after being academically ineligible.

Lopez scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds, as the Stanford Cardinal made it five wins in a row with a 74-48 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos.

The Cardinal gained a little revenge in their 26-point victory, as the Broncos defeated the Cardinal last season at Maples Pavilion.

John Bryant scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Broncos, but they were unable to get into the game after shooting a dismal 5-for-22 from the floor in the first half.

Anthony Goods scored 11 points and dished off four assists for the Cardinal.

Lawrence Hill chipped in with 16 points and grabbed eight boards, as the Cardinal returned to the court for the first time in two weeks.

Taj Finger scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as the Cardinal raised their record to 9-1 on the season.

This was the first time that the Cardinal defeated the Broncos since defeating them by the final score of 78-63 on December 30, 2000.
