Cardinal sting Hornets 88-58

It seems like the Stanford Cardinal are definitely finding their stride, despite the Pac-10 season is still a month away from beginning.

Anthony Goods scored 15, and Robin Lopez added 13 and blocked five shots, as the Cardinal defeated the Sacramento State Hornets 85-58 at Maples Pavilion.

With the victory, the Cardinal raise their record to 7-1 on the season and move to a perfect 6-0 in the friendly confines of Maples Pavilion.

Senior Fred Washington scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, four assists and also stole the ball five times.

Tajo Finger added 11 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

It was a great night for the Cardinal on the boards, as they outrebounded the Hornets 40-31.

Lopez passed Josh Childress for fifth place on the all-time list for blacks in a career, in his career at Stanford, Childress blocked 97 shots.
