It definitely will not be the best game of Johnny Dawkins’ coaching career, but it definitely will be a memorable one.

Lawrence Hill scored 22 points, as the Stanford Cardinal defeated the Yale Bulldogs 75-67 at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.

It was the first career victory for Dawkins, who spent the last 11 years as an Assistant Coach for Mike Krzyzewski at Duke University.

Anthony Goods scored 19 points, while Mitch Johnson added 11 for the Cardinal, who now return to the Bay Area and will open their home schedule on Tuesday night at Maple Pavilion against the Cal State Northridge Matadors.
