With just one more victory, the Stanford Cardinal will have a chance to do something that they have not achieved since the 2001 season.

It was during that season that under former head coach Tyrone Willingham, the Cardinal advanced to the Seattle Bowl against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

After the loss to the Yellow Jackets by the final score of 24-14, the Cardinal have not tasted the fruits of the postseason since then.

This Saturday, the Cardinal take to the Stanford Stadium field for the final time during the 2008 season, a place where they have won their last five games.

On the opposing sideline from the Cardinal, will be the Cardinal and Gold clad wearing USC Trojans, yes the same Trojans team that the Cardinal defeated just last season.

This is the 87th meeting between these two long-time PAC-10 rivals, with the Trojans leading the all-time series 58-25-3.

The Trojans enter the game with a record of 8-1, 6-1 in PAC-10 play, with their only loss coming to the Oregon State Beavers at Reser Stadium on September 25.
