If you really thought that the Stanford Cardinal would go undefeated on the road, you would have better odds on winning the lottery.
Sean Canfield threw for 142 yards and Alexis Serna kicked three field goals, as the Oregon State Beavers defeated the Cardinal 23-6 at Reser Stadium.
Tavita Pritchard went 16-for-32 for 168 yards, but it was not enough, as the Cardinal lost for the first time this season away from Stanford Stadium.
Richard Sherman had three catches for 70 yards.
The Cardinal rush offense was nearly obsolete, as Anthony Kimble is out with a shoulder injury and Jason Evans is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Jeremy Stewart led the Cardinal with just 11 yards rushing.
Darrell Catchings had six catches for 51 yards.
Derek Belch kicked two field goals, but Belch also had a field goal blocked by Beavers linebacker Derrick Doggett.
