What a way to start the PAC-10 road schedule, than with a win in a very hostile stadium like Husky Stadium in Seattle.
Anthony Kimble scored two touchdowns, including an 83-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and the Cardinal hung on to defeat the Washington Huskies 35-28.
Kimble scored on a 13-yard touchdown run that tied up the game with the Huskies, who took a 7-0 lead on a Brandon Johnson on a one-yard plunge in the first quarter.
Kimble came on to replace Toby Gerhart, who was forced to leave the game after suffering a concussion in the first quarter and was unable to return to the game.
On the evening, Kimble carried the ball 15 times for a career-high 157 yards, as the Cardinal racked up a season-high 466 yards in total offense.
With the victory, the Cardinal made it two consecutive wins at Husky Stadium, the first time that the Cardinal won back-to-back games at Husky Stadium since 1973 and 1975.
In what was a homecoming for Tavita Pritchard, who grew up about an hour from the Washington campus went 16-for-24 for 221 yards and three touchdowns.
