This was definitely the game that the UCLA Bruins wanted to have before heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Darren Collison played the entire game, and scored 28 points and the Bruins were able to hold off the Stanford Cardinal 67-64 in the final of the Pacific Life PAC-10 Tournament at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
This was the 10th consecutive victory for the Bruins, who will most likely be the number one seed in the West Region when the tournament pairings are announced on Sunday afternoon.
The Bruins went on a 22-8 run in the second half , as they defeated the Cardinal for the third time this season.
Brook Lopez scored 15 points, while Anthony Goods chipped in with 13 for The Cardinal.
Goods nearly sent the game into overtime, but his three-point attempt at the buzzer hit the backboard and fell to the floor.
With just two minutes remaining in the game, the Cardinal trailed by 10 points, but the Cardinal refused to give up.
They cut the down to just one point at 65-64 when three seconds remaining, when Lawrence Hill scored on a dunk.
Collison was immediately fouled, and hit two free throws for what proved to be the winning margin.
