What a night for Brook Lopez and the Stanford Cardinal at Staples Center in the Quarterfinals of the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament against the Arizona Wildcats. Lopez scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, as the Cardinal defeated the Wildcats 75-64 in Los Angeles.
Brook’s twin brother Robin was too shabby either, as he added 14 points, while Lawrence Hill, Mitch Johnson and Fred Washington each scored 11, as the Cardinal moved on to the semi-finals to face the Washington State Cougars on Friday night.
Jerryd Bayless led the Wildcats with 18 points, Jordan Hill added 16 and Chase Budinger chipped in with 13.
The Cardinal absolutely dominated the Wildcats on the boards, as they grabbed 50 rebounds to the Wildcats 27.
Brook Lopez pulled down 11 defensive rebounds alone, and Mitch Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds of his own.
Hill got the Wildcats off to a great start, as he scored the first six points this came before the Cardinal could even get on the board.
Brook Lopez finally gave the Cardinal their first lead at 21-19, when he hit a basket.
