Can the Cardinal make it two in a row away from Maples Pavilion?

Thursday night, Landry Fields scored 21 points, Jeremy Green added 18, and Stanford upended Oregon 72-65 for its first road victory of the season in Pac-10 men’s basketball play.

Tomorrow, the Cardinal (12-14 overall, 6-8 Pac-10) will try for a rare road sweep in conference play when they travel to Corvallis for an encounter with Oregon State. On Thursday, the Beavers (12-13, 6-7) stopped Pac-10 leading California 80-64.

Tip-off for the Stanford-Oregon State game is at noon.

In the Cardinal’s win on Thursday, Jack Trotter added 14 points and Drew Shiller had 12, as Stanford snapped a 10-game road losing streak. It was the fourth straight loss for the Ducks (12-13, 4-9), who were led by Jeremy Jacob with 19 points.

Saturday’s game concludes Stanford’s Pac-10 road schedule for this season. They return home for their final three conference games against Arizona, Arizona State and California, and a remote shot at the NIT.
