When you shoot a paltry 28 percent from the floor, on most nights you are not going to win the game.
That is what the Stanford Cardinal shot against the Washington State Cougars at Friel Court.
Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver each scored 12 points, as the 14th ranked Cougars defeated the 25th ranked Cardinal 58-45.
Ivory Clark, who scored 11 and Robbie Cowgill, who scored 10 for the Cougars, joined Low and Weaver in double figures.
It was not a great night for the Cardinal at all, besides shooting the 28 percent, the Cardinal also had 12 shots blocked and turned the ball over 13 times.
Brook Lopez was the leading scorer for the Cardinal, as he scored 13 points.
With the win, the Cougars get to the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 1993-1994 season.
Things looked to be going good for the Cardinal in the first half, as they jumped out to a quick 16-8 lead; however they made only seven of 25 shots from the floor and saw their lead and ultimately the game go away.
The loss to the Cougars broke a three-game winning streak for the Cardinal against the Cougars.
