Despite missing nine of his first 10 shots on the evening, Robin Lopez knew it was only a matter of time before he began to hit from the floor.

During a huge 10-0 run in the second half, the sophomore out of Fresno scored every single point and the Stanford Cardinal defeated the 22nd ranked Arizona State Sun Devils 67-52 at Maples Pavilion.

Lopez scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, as the Cardinal ended the Sun Devils 10-game winning streak.

The loss by the Sun Devils ended any chance of moving into sole possession of first in the PAC-10, especially after the USC Trojans upset the fourth ranked UCLA Bruins 72-63 at Pauley Pavilion.

Despite playing with a upset stomach, Anthony Goods added 14 for the Cardinal, who swept the two-game series with the Arizona schools.
