So far the Los Angeles Angels have won all their games in June except their first, as they won for the sixth straight time, this time against Oakland, 4-2 Monday.

The Angels struck first when Bobby Abreu hit a home run in the top of the first. An errant throw by Kevin Kouzmanoff beforehand, allowed it to be a two-run home run.

Los Angeles' season-high win streak is the longest win streak in the majors currently, putting them on top of their division, one and a half games ahead of the A's. It was also the Angels' sixth straight win in Oakland as the A's loss for the third time in four games.

Los Angeles tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth. With two outs, Bobby Wilson doubled, Erick Aybar tripled him in and Howie Kendrick singled in Aybar to give the Angels a 4-0 lead.

The A's scored their first run when Jake Fox hit a home run in the bottom of the seventh. Fox's home run broke an 0-for-5 streak.

They added their second run in the bottom of the eighth when Kouzmanoff led off with a single and moved over on a passed ball. One out later, Ryan Sweeney double to bring Kouzmanoff in.

It was Scott Kazmir's second straight win giving up just one run in each. It was Ben Sheets' second straight loss giving up overall four runs in each. Sheets has not won since May 8. Brian Fuentes earned his second straight save. He has gotten either a win or save in six straight appearances.

Game notes: With the 10th pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Oakland selected outfielder Michael Choice. The A's played their fourteenth out of twenty straight games. Oakland plays the second of four games against Los Angeles, Tuesday at 7:05pm.
