History Lesson: In their last meeting, back in week 2 in the Bay, RB Frank Gore scampered for 207 yards and a pair of TDs as San Francisco rocked Seattle 23-10… The Niners and ‘Hawks are 4-4 in their last eight meetings… Last week Seattle won 27-14 at St. Louis… The 49ers pounded Jacksonville 20-3.

The Bad Guys: Former Cal star RB Justin Forsett remains the starter with Julius Jones on the shelf. He has 372 yards on 65 carries on the season… Like Alex Smith Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck has thrown for 11 TDs… DL Patrick Kerney has a sack in five straight games vs. the 49ers… The Hawks are coached by former Niners assistant Jim Mora, Jr… Playoffs? Both clubs has a lot of winning to make it to the post season.

The Good Guys: Despite their success vs. Seattle earlier in the season, the Niners face a tough task playing in the Seahawks home cauldron. SF is just 1-4 in road contests this season… Since taking over the starting QB reins, Alex Smith has compiled 11 TD passes… TE Vernon Davis is tied for league lead with 9 TD receptions… Last week first round pick WR Michael Crabtree grabbed his initial NFL TD… RB Frank Gore is looking for repeat of his big game earlier in the season vs. Seattle. He has 643 yards on the campaign…
